Helloworld Travel Bunbury Our Team
Kathy Piparo -- Office Manager
Kathy has been involved in the travel industry for over 20 years and travelled throughout 5 of the 7 continents visiting over 30 countries. Her list of favourite places changes regularly and often features her most recent adventure as being “the best ever..!” Kathy enjoys ‘group travel’ and regularly looks after travel arrangements for various sporting and educational groups as well as Meetings and Incentive trips for local businesses.
Nikki Macpherson -- Personal Travel Consultant
Nikki is one of our senior consultants, having worked at helloworld (formerly Jetset) for the last 7 years. She came to us after travelling around Australia for 2.5 years in a yellow Kombi (Flake), which served to ignite her passion for travel. After endless short term jobs on the road, it was time to settle into a career and what better career than to help people realise their dreams of seeing the world. For Nikki, the best part about travel is the experiences that you just can’t get at home - watching & listening to the glaciers crumble and crash into the water below in the Patagonian Fjords, listening to the demonic sounds of a hippo grunting its way past the room on the Massai Mara, cooking marshmallows over the heat of an active volcano in Guatemala, and sitting in a Temple Bar pub in Dublin, singing Christmas Carols with the locals as the snow falls outside.
Jennifer Gibbons -- Personal Travel Consultant
Jennifer believes that - travel is what you make it, whether it is a family holiday, visiting long lost relatives or crossing destinations of the bucket list, the experiences stay with you for the rest of your life. Trekking through the Northern Thai Jungle, Snorkelling with tropical fish in the Maldives or Shopping up a storm in Singapore, the only thing Jen doesn’t like about travel is her passport photo!
Shareen Nash -- Mobile Travel Consultant
Shareen hails from Zimbabwe where she grew up enjoying the great outdoors.
After travelling around the world for a year she moved to Botswana where
in conjunction with her husband managed lodges in the Okavango Delta. Shareen also worked in the safari industry where she marketed safari lodges in Botswana and a houseboat on the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. After immigrating to Australia she has been with helloworld (formerly Jetset ) for the last 8 years. Shareen has travelled extensively and loves arranging holidays for her clients, from domestic and Asian travel, to more complex African, European and American trips. Shareen escorts an annual mobile safari (small group) through the Okavango Delta in Botswana, to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. She specializes in African travel and safari itineraries.
Maryanne Spring -- Personal Travel Consultant (Part Time)
Originally from sunny Kalgoorlie Maryanne has been involved in the travel industry for over 9 years. With a love of history (not to mention food and wine) Europe has been on the top of the list of her favourite places to travel, with Germany a firm favourite. Maryanne has a genuine passion for travel and loves being inspired and in turn inspiring others with the many wonderful places and cultures she has seen.
Laura McCann -- Personal Travel Consultant (Part Time)
Laura loves to Explore! This travelling passion was ignited as a young adult after her trip to Europe, now considered a 'right of passage' for many young Aussies. The passion has not diminished but the style of travel has changed somewhat to accommodate a partner and two young children! Laura has been in the travel industry since 2009, and can safely say that once bitten by the travel bug there is no going back, the list of destinations to visit seems to grow rather than decrease after each holiday! The best thing about working in travel is that she can travel vicariously through each client.
Chelsea Wood -- Part Time Administration
Chelsea has been involved in the travel industry for over 20 years and during that time travelled to Europe, USA, Singapore, Bali , Malaysia, Dubai and her ultimate dream holiday - a safari throughout Kenya. More recently Chelsea has been working on her ‘bucket list’ and was in Sydney for the 2014 New Year’s Eve celebrations, watching the fireworks from Botanical Gardens and attended the 2014 Melbourne Cup. Next on her list are - Canada and Antarctica!
Sarah Burden -- Receptionist
Sarah grew up travelling around Australia with her family before finally settling in Bunbury 12 years ago. Being new to the travel industry, she is starting to discover her love of international travel by visiting China, Bali and Singapore in the last 2 years. When travelling Sarah likes to fully embrace a new culture and prefers natural wonders rather than the usual tourist attractions.
